Charge and discharge crystals

FROM CLEANING WITH PALO SANTO TO CHARGING IN THE MOONLIGHT

Semi-precious stones and crystals can be discharged regularly to make them receptive to new energies. Most crystals can be cleaned under running water and then charged in sunlight or moonlight. So it's incredibly easy! However, there are a few exceptions here: Amethyst can fade in sunlight, so it should only be charged in moonlight. Metallic or delicate stones such as pyrite become dull upon contact with water and should therefore not be discharged with water. Smoking with Palo Santo or a smudging ritual with white sage are suitable for energetically cleansing these stones. A beautiful ritual that also cleanses the surrounding space of bad energies.

Amethyst tolerates water, pyrite only tolerates palo santo or sage

You can cleanse these crystals of pent-up energies, intentions or negative aura under running water: rock crystal, rose quartz, smoky quartz, amethyst, fluorite, jasper, citrine, selenite, malachite, labradorite.

These crystals should not come into contact with water and are therefore best cleaned with a smudging ritual with Palo Santo or a sage smudge stick: Pyrite, Mandarin Quartz, Azurite, Celestite.

All crystals can be discharged with the "master crystal" - the rock crystal. The rock crystal has cleansing properties and brings stagnant energies to flow. To do this, it is sufficient to keep the crystal to be cleaned near a discharged rock crystal (for example cleaned under water) for a few hours.

Charge crystals in sunlight or moonlight

It is a particularly beautiful ritual to charge crystals in the moonlight. To do this, they should first be discharged (with water, palo santo or sage) and then placed in the moonlight overnight. Bonus points for full moon nights! A stone that should definitely be charged in the moonlight is the amethyst. Amethyst geodes will fade and lose their beautiful purple color over years if exposed to direct sunlight.

All other crystals and minerals benefit from the energy of sunlight in addition to moonlight. A few hours of sunshine at the window or on the balcony recharge a freshly discharged stone with energy.

New crystals do not necessarily have to be cleaned and discharged

Some crystals just have a good vibe - right from the start! So listen to your intuition and if you like the energy of the stone, you don't have to discharge it immediately. Especially if you received the stone as a gift from a loved one, it is full of good energy. If after a while you no longer feel attracted to the crystal or want to set a new intention on it, you can simply do the cleaning again whenever you feel like it.

Fumigate crystals

Running tap water is the easiest and cheapest way to unload your crystals and cleanse them of stagnant energies. If you want to cleanse crystals that do not tolerate water or if you want to treat yourself to an extensive ritual, this incense is perfect. White sage is known to purify all energies. Palo Santo is a gentler incense said to only eliminate negative energy.
