Product Safety & Gemstones – Important Information on GPSR

Since December 2024, the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) has been in force in the EU, setting clear requirements for the safety of consumer products. Even though gemstones and crystals are natural materials that have been valued for centuries, we want to inform you about a few points to ensure safe use.

General Safety Instructions

Our products – including rough and tumbled stones, decorative crystals, water stones, and gemstone jewelry – are carefully selected and intended for their respective use. Nevertheless, there are some basic safety instructions you should observe:

🔹 Not for Consumption

Gemstones are pure natural products, but they do not belong in the mouth. Especially small stones pose a choking hazard for children and pets. Please keep them out of their reach.

🔹 Risk of Breakage and Splinters

Some crystals are delicate and can break if bumped or dropped. In rare cases, sharp edges or fine splinters may form. Please handle with care and safely dispose of any broken pieces.

🔹 Water Stones & Minerals in Contact with Liquids

Not all gemstones are suitable for contact with water. Some minerals contain soluble components or metals that can leach into the water. Please inform yourself about the properties of the respective mineral before using it as a water stone. Our water stones are hand-picked, natural quartz, which are harmless for contact with drinking water.

🔹 Jewelry & Skin Compatibility

Our gemstone jewelry pieces are made from natural materials and high-quality metal components. Nevertheless, some people may be sensitive to certain metals or minerals. If you have known allergies or notice skin irritations, please remove the jewelry.

🔹 Energetic Applications & Well-being

We consider gemstones to be inspiring companions for everyday life, but they do not replace medical or therapeutic treatment. For health concerns, we recommend consulting a specialist.
