"Blue Tara Quartz", this special variety of rock crystal, was first discovered in 2019 in Bahia, Brazil. At that time, it was completely unclear which mineral the blue inclusions were. Only in recent years have new sources of discovery emerged in the region and the crystals were tested in the laboratory for the first time: the inclusions are a previously unknown type of blue tourmaline. Its special formation creates the feather-like brushstrokes in the crystal-clear quartz: the blue tourmaline grows as a so-called "amphibole", a rare, double-chain crystal structure. Blue Tara Quartz is extremely rare, it is uncertain whether more of it will be found and, on top of that, it is one of the most beautiful, powerful stones we have ever held in our hands.

Our pieces have been carefully hand-polished – inclusions on the surface are part of the natural beauty of these stones.
